Welcome to the OGSA-DQP user guide. OGSA-DQP is a middleware prototype which supports distributed queries over OGSA-DAI data services. OGSA-DQP was developed at the University of Manchester and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne as part of the OGSA-DAI and MyGrid projects.
This section provides background information that will be useful prior to installing and using OGSA-DQP. If you are new to OGSA-DQP, it is recommended that you read these sections. If you are unfamiliar with OGSA-DAI, please read about the OGSA-DAI 2.2 releases before going any further. In particular, ensure that you have have an understanding of OGSA-DAI data service resources, activities, perform documents, resource properties and the client toolkit.
OGSA-DQP is supplied as a source distribution which must be compiled before it can be used. Compilation and installation is assisted by a set of Apache Ant build files which are provided in the distribution.
