Configuration Files

The following pages give an overview of the configuration files used to expose data resources using OGSA-DAI. These files are created automatically when the OGSA-DAI deployment tools. However, it is necessary to modify them by hand in order to add support for a new activity or data resource type.

All data service resources require the following configuration files:

• Data Resource Accessor Class Configuration Document - specifies the Java class that implements the data resource accessor.
• Activity Configuration Document - specifies the activities that are supported by the data service resource.

• Session Configuration Document - specifyies the session configuration including the default and maximum session timeouts.

In addition to these, each data resource accessor also has its own specific configuration files:

• JDBC Data Resource Accessor configuration files
• XMLDB Data Resource Accessor configuration files
• Files Data Resource Accessor configuration files
• SQL Multiple Data Resource Accessor configuration files
